I mean the real kind. The kind that gives talented, capable people autonomy, financial stability, and the ability to design a life they actually love. I believe that with the right structure, support, and systems, paired with a founder’s vision, entrepreneurship isn’t just possible. It’s sustainable.

Building my fractional COO business is what allowed me to pack up my bags, sell everything I owned, and move across the ocean to France with my family. It gave me freedom. And yet, for so many founders, their businesses do the opposite. Limiting them, consuming their time, and barely paying them.

That’s the gap I work in.

Running my first business taught me everything about what works… and what doesn’t. In 2017, I launched a sustainable apparel company where we designed, manufactured, retailed, and shipped everything ourselves. I experienced the highest highs and the most grueling lows of small business ownership. I was a first-time founder with a clear vision and a product people loved… but very little structural support. When the pandemic forced me to close, I was devastated. But it also gave me clarity.

My sweet spot wasn’t just running my own business. It was helping other founders run theirs, without burning out, without the chaos, and without sacrificing their lives in the process.

Before entrepreneurship, I spent years in social policy and social work, eventually becoming Chief of Staff at a $10M nonprofit. That’s where I learned to see the whole picture - spotting patterns across teams, leading 150+ people, managing complex operations, and building systems that actually work.

Today, I blend that big-org operational depth with the lived reality of small business ownership.
